Kristine Kannelønning joins Kontali to strengthen innovation and strategy in aquaculture
Kontali is pleased to announce the appointment of Ole Magnus Waage as Chief Commercial Officer. In his new role, he will lead the commercial team, securing revenue and strengthening relationships with current and prospective clients, and will take a key role in further developing Kontali’s Edge platform to best serve aquaculture market participants’ priorities.

Kontali is pleased to welcome Kristine Johannessen Kannelønning to the team. With a strong technical foundation, deep industry knowledge, and a passion for building a future-oriented aquaculture sector, Kristine brings a unique combination of strategic insight and practical experience.
She joins Kontali with a proven track record from Deloitte, CageEye and Accenture, where she helped public and private sector clients drive innovation, integrate new systems, and pursue sustainable growth within aquaculture.

Kristine’s recent work includes being a part of the Deloitte team that performed a strategic review of the Institute of Marine Research on behalf of the Norwegian Ministry of Trade, Industry and Fisheries, as well as supporting leading companies within the seafood sector in the development of innovation-driven growth strategies focused on biodiversity, fish health, and technology.

At Deloitte, she was a key member of the seafood and strategy team, contributing to several high-impact aquaculture projects. Her earlier experience spans hands-on system testing with Norwegian salmon farmers[KK1] (#_msocom_1) , remote feeding of Atlantic salmon, system implementation, and fieldwork and product development across fish farming sites in Norway.
Kristine’s connection to the industry began at the University of Bergen, where she earned a civil engineering degree in seafood and aquaculture. Her master’s thesis, written in collaboration with the Institute of Marine Research, focused on parameterisation of caged salmon feeding behaviour. She has also completed specialised coursework on recirculating aquaculture systems at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) in Hirtshals, and studied mathematics, physics, and chemistry at NTNU.
