Q3 2025 highlighted clear regional differences in performance, with Norway and the UK facing high sea temperatures, severe lice pressure and weak prices, while Chile and the Faroe Islands reported some of their strongest biological and cost results in recent years.
High global harvest volumes kept spot prices under pressure and reduced farming margins, but integrated producers with strong downstream operations, particularly Mowi, were able to maintain profitability and in several cases raise forward harvest guidance.
- High sea temperatures, elevated lice levels and disease incidents resulted in early harvesting, higher farming costs and weaker EBIT/kg, particularly in Western and Central Norway.
